3rd Annual Weekend Warrior 30 for Sportsman; FASTRAK LM’s $800 to win May 17

Junction City, KY- May 11, 2013- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz return to action now as the track owners at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” Friday evening May 17 with the 3rd Annual Weekend Warrior 30 paying $800 to win for D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman, along with an $800 to win special for the Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models, plus a full racing program in all other divisions.

The Friday May 17 event will be the 3rd Annual Weekend Warrior 30 for D&D Pallet Recyclers Sportsman, featuring a 30 lap main event paying $800 to win.  Also, the Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models will race for $800 to win in a 20 lap feature event.  Joining this duo of divisions will be the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models racing for $1,200 to win in a 25 lap main event, the Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap main event, and the Airport Road Salvage Yard Four Cylinders racing for $200 to win in a 10 lap feature event (four car minimum).  RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and racers will need to have them in use every time they are on the racing surface and may be rented from the track at driver registration.

The A-Main payoff schedule for the Friday May 17 event at Ponderosa Speedway will be as follows:
-Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models (25 laps):  1st- $1,200, 2nd- $600, 3rd- $500, 4th- $400, 5th- $350, 6th- $300, 7th- $250, 8th- $200, 9th- $175, 10th- $150, 11th- $125, 12th through 18th- $100 to start.
-Smith Automotive Machine Shop FASTRAK Late Models (20 laps):  1st- $800, 2nd- $400, 3rd- $300, 4th- 250, 5th- $200, 6th- $175, 7th- $150, 8th- $125, 9th- $100, 10th- $85, 11th through 18th- $75 to start.
-Bluegrass Drug Store Modifieds (20 laps):  1st- $600, 2nd- $350, 3rd- $300, 4th- 250, 5th- $200, 6th- $175, 7th- $150, 8th- $125, 9th- $100, 10th- $85, 11th through 18th- $75 to start.
-D&D Pallet Sportsman (30 laps):  1st- $800, 2nd- $400, 3rd- $200, 4th- $150, 5th- $125, 6th- $100, 7th- $90, 8th- $80, 9th- $70, 10th- $60, 11th through 18th- $50 to start.
-Airport Road Salvage Yard Four Cylinders (10 laps):  (Four or more entries)- 1st- $200, 2nd- $125, 3rd- $100, 4th- $90, 5th- $80, 6th- $70, 7th- $60, 8th- $55, 9th- $50, 10th- $45, 11th through 18th- $40 to start.

Activities for the Friday May 17 event at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 5:00 p.m.  A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:20 p.m.  Bob Allen Motor Mall time trials will commence at 7:45 p.m., with the first race getting the green flag at 8:30 p.m.  All times listed are EDT.  There will be no increase in ticket prices for the May 17 event, with the general admission area being $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, while children ages 5 and under are FREE with a paid adult.  A pit pass will be $30.
